Q: What areas do you serve?
A: I mainly serve the Athens and surrounding areas. I will travel. Last year, I worked in four states in locations from Highlands, NC to St. Simons Island. Please call if you would like me to travel to your destination.
Q: What is your experience?
A: I studied drawing and painting in college at Agnes Scott College and University of Georgia. I got a job as the assistant horticulturist at Classic Groundcovers after college, where I worked for 7 years. I started my first company, The Cottage Gardener, in 1992. I designed perrenial and herb gardens for clients then. This is when I first began to "paint with flowers". One thing lead to another, and the next thing you know, in 1996,I opened Scentiments as a retail shop for flowers in Athens, GA. That is when my wedding business really started to take off. I eventually bought some property outside of Athens so I could get back to gardening. I closed the retail store to concentrate more on the farm and weddings. That's my story so far...
Q: Do you grow all of your own flowers?
A: No. I couldn't possibley offer every flower at every time of year. I have wholesale contacts from different parts of the world that I use regularly. I can tell you what will be seasonal from my gardens for your wedding date. I usually add lots of fresh herbs and/or old fashioned flowers for fragrance from my gardens to almost every event I do.
Q: How much is my wedding going to cost?
A: That's the question on everyone's mind. There is no simple answer to that question. If you look through our galleries and are interested in us doing your wedding, start by filling out our wedding questionnaire. We can work with your budget, small or large. Our individual planning will help you make the choices that are right for you.
